The Hideaway Lake Kiwanis Club

Mission of the organization
The Hideaway Lake Kiwanis Club a service organization open for membership to anyone who has a heart for children. The Club has three annual fundraisers and raises approximately $90,000 each year which is donated back to local children's organizations, school system and others in need. Those fundraisers include an annual Golf Tournament in the spring held at Hideaway Lake Golf Course, a Live and Silent Auction at the Annual Countryfest in October in Lindale and a flag program, where they put out more than 1,000 flags for seven holidays each year. Kiwanis members donate hundreds of hours each year in their community, from reading and mentoring elementary school children, sponsoring several clubs at schools, helping with community events to assist the library, sponsoring a club at Breckenridge Village in Tyler, walking pre-school and Kindergarten children to class the first week of school, ringing Salvation Army bells every December, and many other hours spent doing for others.
