Mission of the organization
A nonprofit community service which has been caring for patients with life-limiting illnesses since 1982. Hospice of East Texas patients have life expectancies of up to six months, during which time the agency strives to help them retain a quality and dignity of life. The primary fundraiser is the annual Light Up A Life. A person may give a gift of $10 or more to light a bulb on the Hospice Tree of Life in memory or in honor of a loved one.
