Rose City Detachment #1354, Marine Corps League

Mission of the organization
The Rose City Detachment of the Marine Corps League, is a Marine Fraternal Organization, comprised of active, retired and Marines & Navy FMF corpsmen who have served at least 90 days active duty and received an Honorable Discharge. FMF Corpsmen must have served at least 90 days with a Fleet Marine Force unit. The group's purpose is to join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps. We work to benefit local charitable organizations, provide guest speakers for flag and patriotic presentations in schools and establish scholarships. We anticipate the establishment of a Young Marines Program for youth, which emphasizes honesty, courage, respect, industry, loyalty, dependability and a sense of devotion to God, country and community and family. The Detachment will also participate in veteran's activities, parades, and hopes to eventually provide assistance with Color Guard and Honor Guard for funerals. We will also coordinate the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tot's Program for Tyler and surrounding communities
