Mission of the organization
The Greater East Texas Black Nurses Association, founded by Ervin Jean Coleman, is a nonprofit organization, located in Tyler, which works to educate the community concerning health issues. The group mentors registered nurses, licensed vocational-practical nurses, nursing students and retired nurses in order to promote career advancement and professional development among African Americans.
