Mission of the organization
The I&R Center provides information and resources about Parkinson’s disease to patients, their families, health-care professionals, students and the East Texas community. The center assists patients and families to improve their quality of life by maximizing their strengths and achieving full potential and to serve as a resource center for information on current therapies and research. The center also establishes and maintains support groups in East Texas; provides consultation and assistance to the local APDA East Texas Chapter; and enhances public education and awareness of Parkinson’s disease.
