Mission of the organization
This organization is a non-profit charitable association affiliated with Texas AgriLife Extension Service. Its objective is to increase the members' knowledge of gardening and to aid the general public to better understand recommended research based gardening practices. The group supports and assist the Texas AgriLife Extension Service by providing the community with education information through news articles, clinics, teaching gardens and presentations at schools and local clubs.

Dates and Times
The group holds monthly meetings on the 1st Thursday of each month with major conferences held several times a year. Gardening lectures are provided the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Tyler Rose Garden.
