Habitat for Humanity of Smith County, Inc.

Mission of the organization
Habitat for Humanity of Smith County Inc. builds affordable housing to be purchased by people in need who qualify for our program. The homes are built in partnership with sponsors, volunteers, local businesses and organizations. People of all backgrounds, races and religions are invited to partner with Habitat. Habitat for Humanity of Smith County Inc. is an independently operated affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. The corporation is organized as a nonprofit under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act and is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 C 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. It is an ecumenical faith-based housing ministry which seeks to eliminate poverty housing. The Habitat ReStore is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers are invited to participate in our annual builds including Women Build, UT Tyler Build and Business Blitz Build. This year celebrates our 20-year Anniversary in Smith County with a Home Owner Dedication Celebration in October. The "Hearts For Humanity" Tennis Tournament is our annual fall fundraiser. Additional fundraising and sponsorship opportunities are on-going.
